Crystal of Life

A long time ago, there was an Adventurer who was searching for an Artifact. His name is Reza Avanluna or People call him Reza. He is very Ambitious, he searches for information of every Artifact ever. Now, he has collected more than 10 Artifacts.

Right now, Reza seems bored. He seems to feel that he has collected all the Artifacts all over the world. Until, his Informant tells him that there is a certain Artifact that he hasn’t collected yet. Reza felt Intrigued, so as soon as possible went to that place.

The place was a jungle, narrow, with deep cricket noises. Who knows there are predators walking around silently waiting for their prey. But Reza doesn’t care about that. The only thing he wants is the Artifact. According to his Informant, the form of the Artifact is a Crystal. Maybe some kind of energy crystal.

Reza walked between the trees, between the noises that came from the jungle. Until he arrived at a stone monument hiding inside the jungle. He went in with caution, in the entrance at the wall there's a number written as “20, 15, 25, 15, 21, 18, 12, 5, 6, 20”. Then, there are two ways to the underground, left one or right one.

Reza think for a second,

“Wait... is this... A B C D E... Aaah.. clumsy” Reza Has found the code.

The code written on the wall is, “T O Y O U R L E F T”. Reza then follows the way to the left. He kept walking until it was really dark so he turned on his flashlight.

It is so scary because from Reza point of view it’s all based on the flashlight, other than that the breeze is so cold.

“I hope I don’t step on a trap or..... maybe a couple snakes bites me”

Then suddenly a bright light reached Reza's vision. As soon as Reza saw that, he ran as fast as he could.

Reza was so surprised by the look of it.... it feels like it's a big jungle inside underground. But more in order like People lived here and Reza's presumption seems right. From far away, he saw a village. What is it? Reza came closer, but suddenly he got catched by someone.

“Who are you...” it’s a woman's voice with a mature sound.

“Uhh... I’m just a traveler? I’m not here to harm anyone” Said Reza convincing the People there.

The Women release the blindfold, Reza doesn’t believe what he saw. It’s a human but with tiger ears ? Is like a Half Human Half Tiger Race.

“What in the world...” Reza was so Mind Blown.

“Surprised? So you are a human? It has been a very long time since we had a visitor...” Said by her while giggling.

“Uhh.. I guess the world has their secret huh..” Said Reza.

“Sorry for the rough introduction, My Name is Nara Haramaung, The Chief of this Tribe” Said by Her, Introducing herself.

“My Name is Reza Avanluna, an Adventurer and a Traveler if you say so...” Said Reza, Introducing himself too.

Nara then smiled, because it’s been a long time since there was a visitor. Then she walked towards the centre of the Village.

“Um.. Ma’am... I'm still tied up... please help me..?” Asked Reza.

“That’s your problem!” Said by Nara while laughing.

“Ma’am.... Ma’am!” Reza then struggles trying to open the tie.

After a few hours, Reza finally could open the tie and catch up to Nara.

“It seem i hit that 20 roll”

“Oooh you finally managed to catch up..” Said Nara with a laughing face.

“Don’t do that to me again, Ma’am...”

“Hahahaha.... Pardon me, Then... LET’S US HAVE A FESTIVAL”

The Village began a festival, there’s a lot of food, people dancing around with a drink in their hand. Reza too, enjoying the festival while dancing and eating the food. Very delicious, that was the first thing that came to his mind. They party all night until they fall asleep. Reza still hasn’t fallen asleep yet, Reza thinks about how wonderful it was. Because he never thought there would be a hidden tribe with a tiger ear.

“Not sleeping yet?” Nara came closer to Reza, asking him.

“Nope... I'm still wondering if there are a lot of hidden things in this world that I need to discover..”

“You think so? Then what’s your purpose here..?” Asked Nara again.

“I came here to search for a Crystal..” Explained Reza.

“Crystal? You mean the Crystal of Life?”

“Yeah maybe that..”

“Hmmm... I can show you the map to the place if you want to” Said Nara.

Reza then shocked, “Really?!”

Nara nods mean she agrees. Reza then without thinking long agreed and accepted the map.

The Next day, Reza continued his journey to search for the Crystal. Before he leaves, he teaches the kids of Haramaung tribe some of his knowledge, like how big the real geography of the world is. After that, He continue his journey. The map was right, to avoid all the danger in the jungle Reza just needed to follow the way on the map.

Not so long, Reza has Arrived at the destination. There, Reza is welcomed by an Old Man.

“What made you here.. young man..?” Asked him,

“I’m looking for the Crystal of Life..”

“Crystal... of Life? What do you want from it...?” Asked him again,

“I.... don’t know... maybe add it to my collection as my Journey?” Answer short Reza.

“Young man.... Did you know that the Crystal of Life is worth more values than what you want...?”

Reza is confused by the Old man's explanation.

“Come through this door, it will explain to you...”

Reza then followed the Old Man instructions, He went in hoping it wasn’t a trap. Suddenly Reza felt like dreaming about something.

The Crystal of Life, the core of why the ruins, the Jungle, and the Lives of many People under here was still stable until now. Inside The Crystal of Life there was a lot of energy, it is like electricity but for Life. It feeds the plants, then it produces Oxygen, it makes food for living and for the animals too. Although, there is a secret if you hold the Crystal of Life, you can wish for something and it would come true but make the Crystal broken forever. It’s between the life of many people or individual desires.

Reza then opens his eyes, he is now in front of the Crystal of Life. The color is bright green shining in that room. Is like a nutrition root for the ruins or this place.

Reza displayed two decisions, his ambition or the lives of many people. Reza walks closer to the Crystal. It’s like the Crystal talking to him,

“Take me... and i will grant your wish”

“You can’t grant my wish...” Said Reza,

“Are you sure...? so you don’t love ‘her’ anymore?”

Reza was really shocked, how the hell Crystal knew about “her”.

“I can revive her you know.. I’m the Crystal of Life...”

Reza feels a big confusion. His hands are getting closer to the Crystal.

His thoughts keep saying, “This is it... you could meet her... finally....”

But, when the hands are really close to the Crystal. Reza stops, he thinks.

“So... I sacrificed the lives of many... to get one life revived?” Asked Reza,

“...I don’t like that.... if it’s me... i want to... but her? I don’t think she likes that” Said Reza again.

Reza then walks slowly and stays away from Crystal. He walked until he Arrived to the Village again.

Nara saw him and asked, “Wait... where’s the Crystal? You didn't find it?”

“So they don’t know the details of the Crystal huh... Well...”

“Uh... i changed my mind, i was too lazy to go over those shenanigans..” Said Reza said with some giggling.

Then Reza stayed for the night at the village yet again, always, a festival.

The next morning, Reza wanted to go back to his home. He then said farewell to the village.

“You could come here anytime!” Said Nara with energetic volume.

A kid from the Tribe came closer to Reza. She gave me a mask.

“Ooh... what is this?” Asked Reza.

“This is a mask, we call it... Phony..” Said the kid explaining.

“I see... I love it, thank you so much” Giving the gratitude while patting the kid.

Reza then said farewell and left the place. On the plane, he thought deeply. Was his choice right?

“....maybe if I go with my desire there... I would do it... but... for you, my love.. I think I know you wouldn’t like it...”

Reza then opens a pendant, inside it there is a picture of him and a woman with blonde hair.

“....Hahahaha... I think I will get a pension..”

Then that is the end of Reza Avanluna's journey as an Adventurer.
